Lighting Technical Site

This is a site that explains the technical aspects of lighting plans related to architectural

lighting. Detailed dimensions and finishes will vary depending on the site conditions

and construction conditions, so we will provide explanations in the comments. Basic

technical classifications will be explained in "Basic Lighting Technical Concepts"

 below.

Basic lighting technical concepts

[ Reflection of light ]

[ Light emission ]

[ Light Transmission ]

The basic technical concept of lighting is based on the three elements of the effects of light: "reflection," "luminescence," and "transmission." On top of that, it is important to create an environmental design through materials, details, and textures. In particular, it is important to imagine how the architectural space as a whole will be perceived while understanding the characteristics of light, and to consider what type of light will be used and how it will make people feel. To do this, it is very important to consider how to create the basic lighting effects of "reflection," "luminescence," and "transmission" using only light and light quality, without showing the lighting fixtures.

Here we will post information about projects that have been completed 5 to 6 years ago and findings from lighting experiments. We will continue to update information about lighting effects. We would also be grateful if those viewing the site would share any information they have about lighting effects with us, in order to spread lighting culture through lighting effects.

The light of the slits and the slit width and spacing were decided based on the design, but as overlapping slits were not possible with a single light, two lights were used to create volume by overlapping the slits with some space between them. The key point was that by using a filament clear LED lamp (lamp used: LDA5L/C/W) rather than...

This is a lighting plan that uses indirect lighting. We use rain-proof and moisture-proof line lighting, and by blocking the light with L-shaped metal fittings, we installed the lighting fixtures in a way that reduces the amount of light that is visible when you look up and that leaks into the room. As for the lighting fixtures, we plan to...

Here we conduct a lighting experiment on the surface emission of the lattice. The lighting experiment aims to make the lattice shine as a surface. The experiment involves emitting light from the surface using two types of indirect lighting fixtures: wide-angle and medium-angle light distribution. Matte acrylic was placed behind the lattice, 130mm...
